Elbows weigh approximately 14oz., and this is the same weight as old ones produced around the turn of the century. Elbows are equipped with notches both at the top and the bottom on the burner fitter. They provide a snug burner fit exactly like the originals produced by the Angle Lamp Manufacturing Company of New York. |

How to date Angle Lamps:
| Small pressed wick turner thumbwheel knobs probably date before 1900.
(E. Miller Company of Meriden, CT probably furnished these burners for Angle
Lamp Company. Some lamps are found with the name 'E. Miller & Co.' on
these small knobs.)
Up until 1905 the wick turner knobs were stamped with 'Angle Lamp Co., N.Y.' After this date, the name on the knob read 'Angle Mfg. Co., N.Y.' The screw holding the glass elbow was changed from the bottom of the burner to the top of the burner before 1905. Finials on the bottom of the oil fount were removed in the mid-1920's as an economy move.
